Concord Children’s Center operates several programs serving the greater Concord community, and is consolidating and expanding some existing programs at a new site. DWAAA has designed renovations and additions to an existing residential property to accommodate about 120 children ranging from infants to school age. The property is situated overlooking historic preserved farmland near the Minuteman National Historical Park. Inspired by traditional connected farmhouse complexes typical of the agrarian heritage of Concord and greater New England, the new complex optimizes a restricted site with a two-story organization that enables more ground dedicated to surrounding playgrounds.
